Job summary

CCSCT, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Center Aide to assist the EHS/HS Teacher in providing care and education for children and their families within a Head Start setting. You will help create a safe, stimulating learning environment and support developmental activities that reflect diverse cultures.

The role requires CDA credential or progress toward it, with potential CDA completion within two years. A background check, health screening, TB test, and driving responsibilities are part of the job,

Qualifications

• CDA credential in appropriate age group required; must obtain CDA within 2 years of hire.
• Experience with children birth to five in licensed child-care setting preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment checks: background, health screening, TB, drug test, driving record.
• Must be 21+, valid Texas Class C license, travel within service area.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm, safe classroom and playground reflecting the cultures of all enrolled children.
• Ensure child safety through supervision and proper equipment maintenance.
• Assist with implementing Head Start curriculum and ensuring continuity of instruction.
• Support daily routines: hand washing, meals, napping, and transitions.
• Help children develop self-help skills and age-appropriate independence.
• Observe, document, and report on child behavior; communicate with staff.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and participate in committees as assigned.
