Centro de la Familia seeks an energetic Center Aide to support classrooms, supervise play areas, and promote health and school readiness for young children. You will collaborate with teachers and contribute to inclusive activities for 0–5 year olds.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with enthusiasm for childcare, and may hold a high school diploma/GED. CDA or AA in ECE is a plus; CPR/First Aid and Food Handler permits are required or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Entry‑level position welcomes candidates with or without prior education or experience.
• Be enthusiastic about working with children, including those with special needs and limited English proficiency.
• Physical demands include walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable sitting on the floor, crawling, running, and engaging with children aged 0–5.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish and English is a plus.
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler permits are required or must be obtained within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Provide classroom support and ensure a safe playground environment.
• Foster health, safety, and school readiness of young learners.
• Collaborate with teachers to engage children in activities and routines.
• Assist with physical caregiving tasks, including lifting children and diaper changes.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

CDA within 6 months
