Job summary

Smart Start of Forsyth County is seeking a Teaching and Learning Support Services Specialist to provide evidence-based coaching and professional development to early educators, following IACET standards. The role also administers the lending library and maintains documentation of services delivered.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years in early childhood education, an associate degree (with bachelor’s preferred), and proficiency in MS Office, Teaching Strategies Gold, and Outlook.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years of verifiable experience in early childhood education, including coaching and technical assistance.
  • CLASS Observer Reliability Certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Teaching Strategies Gold and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based coaching and modeling to early educators with measurable TA plans.
  • Deliver CE/T and professional development aligned with IACET standards.
  • Administer the SSFC lending library and guide materials usage.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation using standardized workflow templates.
  • Collaborate with programs and stakeholders to advance quality child care.

Education

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education / Family Consumer Science / Birth to K / Child Development
