Smart Start of Mecklenburg County is seeking a MECK Pre-K Success Coach to work with childcare center administrators and MECK Pre-K staff to support high-quality early childhood instruction aligned to state and county standards. The role focuses on CLASS, Creative Curriculum, and Teaching Strategies GOLD fidelity while leading coaching and professional development.

The position requires a BA/BS in early childhood education, NC BK/Pre-K licensure and several years of lead-teacher and leadership

Qualifications

• Minimum of BA/BS in early childhood education or related field.
• North Carolina Birth-Kindergarten (BK) or Pre-K Add-on Professional Teaching License; CLASS Pre-K Certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and leadership to MECK Pre-K teachers.
• Ensure MECK Pre-K services meet classroom policies and fidelity to CLASS, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD.
• Conduct site visits, observations and feedback to improve teaching practices.
• Coordinate professional development with MECK Pre-K Support Team and partners.
