Job summary

Cleburne Independent School District is seeking an Inclusion Aide at Cleburne High School to support SPED inclusion students. This nonexempt position reports to the Principal and assigned teacher and follows a 187-day calendar.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 48 college hours or state-approved qualification. Prior experience with children in an instructional setting is preferred. Join a collaborative school team dedicated to student success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 48 college hours or be considered highly qualified through completion of a state approved program.
• Prior experience working with children, preferably in an instructional setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material or skills introduced by the teacher.
• Operate and care for equipment or instructional materials used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
• Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher.
• Distribute and collect workbooks, papers, and instructional materials as directed by the teacher.
• Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work as assigned by the teacher.
• Assist with the supervision of students during meals, emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, or field trips.
• Assist with supervision of daily routines and schedules.
• Provide information and assistance to a substitute teacher should one be assigned.
• Participate in appropriate staff development as required to ensure professional growth.
• Participate in staff meetings, committee meetings, or ARD meetings as required by job assignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
