A school district in Texas is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide individualized learning activities aimed at fostering students' intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. You will work collaboratively with staff and parents to create and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while maintaining a supportive classroom environment. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate. Teaching certification in multiple areas is preferred. Formación

• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
• Teaching certification held in multiple areas is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with students and parents to develop IEPs.
• Implement instructional and therapeutic programs for students.
• Conduct assessments of student achievement.

Knowledge of special needs of students

Knowledge of ARD Committee process

Effective communication skills

Ability to assess student learning styles

Classroom management skills

Educación

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Valid Texas teaching certificate

ESL Certification within one year
