Job summary

Save the Children is seeking a Program Aide to support educational, relational and social experiences for young children across classrooms and program sites. The role reports to the Education & Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may involve travel to different sites or home visits.

As a frontline representative, you will help ensure child safety, uphold safeguarding obligations, and assist with kitchen, janitorial, and general duties as needed to support Head Start operations.

Qualifications

• Must have professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to relate sensitively with children and to work with families, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff in daily activities and operations.
• Support teacher in program activities and family events as needed.
• Provide supervision and care for infants, toddlers, or preschool children; assist in various classrooms as required.
