Job summary

Save the Children seeks Program Aides to provide educational, relational and social experiences for infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers. You will report to the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may travel to program sites and home visits.

You will assist with classroom management, perform janitorial and kitchen duties as needed, and support head start operations while upholding child-safeguarding obligations and program standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at minimum 18 years of age.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to relate sensitively with children and to work well with staff, parents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff in all classroom activities.
• Support Teacher and program operations as needed.
• Provide custodial support and help with food service duties as assigned.
• Attend required staff and parent meetings and activities.
