Job summary

Save the Children in the United States is seeking a Program Aide to provide educational, relational and social experiences for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. You will report to the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may travel to sites or make home visits.

You will support classroom, janitorial and community activities, ensure child safety, follow Head Start standards, maintain confidentiality and participate in trainings to promote healthy development and family

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification within 90 days.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to relate to children and families.

Responsibilities

• Apply clear practice and procedure in day-to-day execution of job.
• Organize self and manage time to get things done.
• Keep manager informed of important issues.
• Build effective relationships within workgroup and with children/families.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
