Job summary

Save the Children invites applications for a Program Aide to support educational, relational and social experiences for infants to preschool children. The role reports to the Education & Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may require travel to program sites and home visits.

You will assist with classroom management and other duties across classrooms, centers, bus routes or kitchens. This entry-level opportunity emphasizes child safety, safeguarding, and adherence to Head Start standards

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification as applicable by Head Start or childcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Apply clear practice and procedures in daily execution of job.
• Organize self and manage time to complete tasks.
• Keep manager informed of important issues.
• Build effective relationships with children and families.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Assist classroom staff in activities and duties.
• Serve as a temporary substitute when needed.
• Provide custodial, kitchen, and other assistance as required.
