Job summary

Save the Children in the United States is seeking a Program Aide to support infants, toddlers and preschoolers with educational, relational and social experiences to promote growth across all developmental domains. You will report to the Education and Inclusion Manager or Center Director and may travel to program sites and home visits.

As a frontline representative, you will ensure the safety of children and families, uphold safeguarding obligations, and promote Head Start values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Within 90 days of employment, obtain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basics of working with infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Apply clear practice and procedures in day-to-day execution of job.
• Organize self and manage time to get things done.
• Keep manager informed of important issues.
• Build effective relationships within the workgroup and with children/families.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
