Job summary

Kent ISD, Bright Beginnings in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Parent Educator/Coach to provide home visiting support and coach families under the PAT program. The role is 1.0 FTE, 200 days/year, roughly 36 hours weekly, with grant-funded status.

Responsibilities include delivering PAT services, recruiting families Prenatal to age five, documenting visits, and collaborating with local districts and community partners to promote child development and school readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Experience in education, parent engagement, or early childhood programs is preferred.
• Ability to relate well with families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Parents as Teachers model with an assigned caseload.
• Conduct home visits year-round to support families and children.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Visit Tracker and program systems.
• Coordinate with districts, preschool programs, and community partners.
• Attend grant and staff meetings and participate in professional development.
