Job summary

Urban Sprouts is seeking an Early Childhood Education Coach to support educators and program leaders in providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care for children ages 0-5. You will collaborate with caregivers across multiple sites, model Ideal Learning practices, and guide reflective practice to strengthen instructional methods.

The role requires 5+ years as a lead teacher, familiarity with NAEYC standards, and experience in adult-based coaching.

Qualifications

• 5+ years, hands-on experience as a lead teacher in early childhood (ages 0-5) classrooms.
• Strong understanding of Constructivist, Developmentally Appropriate Practices (NAEYC).
• Experience in adult-based education, coaching, mentoring, and reflective approaches.

Responsibilities

• Serve as collaborator and resource to early childhood educators and program leaders across Urban Sprouts and partner sites.
• Promote and support implementation of Ideal Learning practices.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide reflective, strengths-based feedback to educators.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and coaching effectiveness.
• Use coaching strategies to guide curriculum planning and instruction with individual needs.
• Facilitate professional development trainings and workshops for programs.
• Assist programs in aligning teaching practices with standards and goals.
• Build trusting relationships to encourage growth and professional confidence.
• Maintain documentation of coaching activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to support initiatives.
