Job summary

Southwest Human Development in Phoenix seeks an Early Childhood Education Coach to mentor center staff, implement best practices, and help programs meet quality standards.

You will conduct coaching visits, provide training, and develop Quality Improvement Plans based on adult learning principles. A Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field is required, with five years in licensed settings; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field is required.
• Five years of experience in licensed/regulated early childhood settings with children birth through 8 years.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, coaching, and staff training.
• Familiarity with ADHS/ADES child care regulations and quality indicators.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to review assessment findings and plan Quality Improvement Plans.
• Coach visits including observations, feedback, training, modeling, and resources.
• Consult with participants to plan and implement training and technical assistance.
• Maintain documentation of coach activities and participant progress.
