Job summary

MISSISSIPPI ACTION FOR PROGRESS INC in the United States seeks an early childhood assistant to support classroom design, supervision, and learning activities based on curriculum and children's interests. You will help implement developmentally appropriate activities, assist with screenings, and contribute to lesson planning and progress assessments with CDA or college enrollment.

Qualifications

• Experience with childcare or early childhood development.
• Ability to implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Assist with Brigance screenings and CPI assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and setting up classrooms and learning centers.
• Provide constant active supervision of children during all activities.
• Conduct classroom activities in the absence of a assigned teacher.
• Develop group weekly lesson plans based on curriculum and children's interests.
• Assist with individual and bi-weekly IEP/ISFP-based lesson plans within two weeks of screening.
• Conduct anecdotal observations weekly.
• Administer the CPI assessment three times a school year.
