Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a dedicated Head Start teaching assistant in Mississippi to support classroom staff and ensure a nurturing, safe learning environment for young children.

You will help plan daily activities, supervise children at all times, monitor health, maintain attendance records, and assist with transitions. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with CDA endorsement within two years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain a CDA Credential with Infant/Toddler and Preschool endorsements within two years of hire.
• Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards and ECERS/ITERS assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in planning and implementing daily classroom activities.
• Provide individualized support to children during small group and one-on-one activities.
• Maintain active supervision to ensure safety at all times.
• Monitor health and well-being and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain attendance records and participate in parent meetings.
• Assist with classroom duties, including cleaning and organization.
