Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Mississippi seeks an Early Childhood Assistant to help design and set up classrooms and learning centers in line with curriculum and student interests. Daily supervision and activity delivery are required, indoors and outdoors, especially when a teacher is absent.

You will assist with developmentally appropriate activities, Brigance screenings, weekly lesson plans, and IEP/ISFP-based goals within two weeks of screening results. CDA or Associate Degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in early childhood classrooms and centers.
• Familiarity with Brigance and CPI assessment tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Head Start requirements and state childcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and setup of classrooms and learning centers.
• Provide constant active supervision of children during all activities.
• Conduct classroom activities in the absence of an assigned teacher.
• Support developmentally appropriate activities across learning domains.
• Assist with Brigance screening to meet 45‑Day compliance.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans and IEP/ISFP goals.
• Record anecdotal observations and participate in CPI assessments.
• Initiate referrals for behavioral concerns and follow up bi-weekly.
