Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers in Colorado is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under a licensed staff member, support individual and small-group work, implement programming, and reinforce learning goals. You will help prepare materials, monitor behavior, document student achievement, and support field trips and classroom events as needed.

This role may involve working with behaviorally challenging students and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments require two years of college or an associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials and administering tests.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in small groups.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during activities.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for the classroom teacher.
• Assist with field trips or fire drills as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
