Job summary

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments may require two years of college or an associate degree or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc. Frequency: Daily, 30%.
• Assist students with classroom activities and curriculum delivery in small groups. Frequency: Daily, 30%.
• Monitor students and reinforce behavior during various activities. Frequency: Daily, 20%.
• Perform basic clerical work for the teacher (typing, filing, inventory, supplies). Frequency: Daily, 10%.
• Assist with field trips or fire drills as necessary. Frequency: Daily, 5%.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Frequency: Daily, 5%.
