Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to assist students under licensed staff supervision. You will help individuals or small groups with curriculum work, reinforce learning skills, and support behavior management.

The role includes preparing materials, monitoring students, and recording achievement. You may work with behaviorally challenging children and support field trips and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Two years of higher education / associate degree or evidence of readiness for instruction
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students
• Intermediate English language skills
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills
• Advanced interpersonal relations skills
• Advanced organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, attendance, etc.
• Assist students with curriculum delivery to individuals and small groups; ensure mastering of subjects.
• Monitor students and reinforce appropriate behavior during various activities.
• Perform basic clerical work for the classroom teacher; data entry, filing, ordering supplies.
• Assist with field trips, fire drills, and other classroom events as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
