Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an Instructional Para Educator to support licensed staff by assisting students with curriculum work, implementing programming, and reinforcing learning and behavior expectations in the classroom.

Under supervision, you will prepare materials, monitor progress, and document student achievement. This role may involve work with behaviorally challenging children and requires reliable collaboration with teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Two years of college study or an associate degree, or demonstrated knowledge via assessment for Title I duties

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in preparing materials and grading, daily tasks ~30%
• Assist students with curriculum delivery and understanding in groups or individually
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce classroom rules during activities
• Perform light clerical tasks: typing, filing, data entry, supplies
• Support with field trips, drills, and school events
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
