Position: Early Childhood Classroom Associate/Assistant Posting # 3676

Hours: 28 hours per week
Monday – Thursday
7:45 AM – 3:30 PM
School-Year/Part-Time
Qualifications:- CDA (Child Development Associate) credentials, or the willingness to obtain the CDA.
- Obtain and maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
- Experience working with children and teaching them developmentally appropriate skills.
- Demonstrate good attendance, punctuality and excellent communication/organizational skills.
- Demonstrates friendliness, dependability and trustworthiness towards others.
Job Responsibilities:- Works with GSRP Lead teacher and team to uphold classroom requirements, standards and guidelines aligned with the Michigan Early Childhood Standards of High Quality.
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum to create an engaging learning environment.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Observe and document children's progress, sharing insights with lead teachers to tailor educational approaches.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on children's development and participating in home visits, parent-teacher conferences, and student-data meetings.
- Adhere to state licensing regulations and program policies, maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment.

- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
