Gannon University is seeking a graduate assistant for its physical therapy program. This role involves collaborating with faculty, tutoring students, managing social media, and contributing to program marketing efforts. The position is remote after fall break and aligns with the academic calendar, making it an ideal opportunity for DPT students entering their third year.
The physical therapy program at Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning, with an emphasis on student-learning outcomes. Our graduate assistants play an important role in achieving these outcomes, working collaboratively with program faculty and colleagues as they assist in program operations, hosting open-lab times with first year students, tutoring as requested by the faculty, and in practice opportunities. Graduate assistants must maintain student confidentiality, display initiative, and be flexible with work requirements. This position is for students entering the third year of the DPT program. This position will be remote after fall break and follow the university academic calendar.
1. Provide monthly submissions to Gannon University’s marketing outlets, including pictures and other information pertinent to the current status of the physical therapy program and its students
2. Solicit news items from faculty/staff each month to include in marketing submissions
3. Develop program newsletters for publication in December and April, including pictures, information about the Ruskin campus, and alumni correspondence
4. Maintain all social media accounts related to the physical therapy program, including weekly posts to Facebook and Instagram pages
5. Assist in maintaining the physical therapy program webpage
6. Assist with grading assignments as necessary
7. Provide open lab and content review sessions for first-year and second-year students on a weekly basis
8. Provide individualized tutoring at the request of faculty 9. Assist faculty with administrative tasks and other tasks as assigned
