Job summary

The Learning Experience in Norman, OK is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support classroom activities for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. You will help implement the LEAP Curriculum®, maintain a safe, welcoming environment, and assist with daily routines and activities alongside lead teachers.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a High School Diploma or GED and an interest in early childhood education. ECE coursework is a plus, and state immunization/health requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
• Minimum age 18; prior childcare experience or passion preferred.
• Must meet state guidelines and health/safety training requirements.
• Immunizations and employment physicals as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers to create a stimulating, welcoming classroom.
• Support curriculum implementation with the LEAP Curriculum, for infants to preschool.
• Prioritize safety and nurture in daily activities.
• Communicate regularly with families about progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with staff to drive retention, enrollment and engagement.
• Build warm relationships with families and colleagues.
