Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our caring classroom team in Oklahoma City. You will support the Lead Teacher with activities, maintain a safe, organized environment, and communicate with families to foster growth and curiosity.

You'll engage children through hands-on learning, story time, and daily routines, helping them feel safe and excited to learn. A high school diploma or GED is required; related coursework is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in ECE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom adhering to licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
