Job summary

The Learning Experience in Owasso, OK is seeking an Assistant Teacher to help create a warm, developmental environment for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. You will partner with lead teachers, implement the LEAP Curriculum, ensure safety and daily routines, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

Educational background: High School Diploma/GED required. ECE coursework preferred.
Minimum age: At least 18 years of age.
Experience: Prior experience in childcare or a demonstrable passion for early childhood education is preferred.
State compliance: Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
Immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training must be met.

Responsibilities

Classroom leadership: Partner with teachers to create a stimulating, welcoming space for children.
Curriculum implementation: Support teachers with LEAP Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool.
Safety first: Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children to thrive.
Family communication: Update parents on progress using apps and in-person discussions.
Center collaboration: Work with staff and leadership to support retention, enrollment, and engagement.
Relationship building: Foster warm relationships with families and colleagues.
