Job summary

The Learning Experience in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team. You will partner with lead teachers to create a warm, engaging classroom where infants to preschoolers can explore and grow, guided by our LEAP Curriculum®.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 18+ years old, with a passion for early childhood education. We value reliability, good communication with families, and the ability to work well with staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ECE coursework preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior childcare experience or strong interest in early childhood education preferred.
• Must meet state guidelines including immunizations and health and safety training.
• Meet state and federal requirements including immunizations, employment physicals, and required health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Leadership: collaborate with teachers to create a stimulating, welcoming space.
• Curriculum Implementation: support LEAP Curriculum across infants to preschool.
• Safety First: maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
• Family Communication: update parents on progress via apps and in person.
• Center Collaboration: work with staff to drive retention, enrollment and engagement.
• Relationship Builder: foster warm relationships with families and colleagues.
