Job description

Walnut Park Montessori, part of the Jackson Walnut Park School, is currently seeking an experienced Classroom Assistant Teacher for our Primary Classroom. Classroom Assistant Teachers support all aspects of classroom operation. They help implement the Montessori curriculum for the children in the classroom and assist the lead teachers in the responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, learning environment. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and flexible; have strong communication skills; have the ability to function in a cooperative team-teaching environment; and be able to collaborate with other educators in our community. This is a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year. Hours are M-F, 7:45am to 2:45pm, plus attendance at required staff meetings and occasional nights and weekends.

Walnut Park Montessori is an AMS accredited school, as well as a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston. Walnut Park Montessori is the Early Childhood division of the Jackson Walnut Park School, which provides a ten year educational experience for its students and families.
