Job Overview

The K.I.D.S. Place is an active childcare center in Rural Kansas that provides early learning opportunities for children with and without disabilities. It is a subsidiary of Integrated Behavioral Technologies, Inc, a nonprofit organization serving children and families across Kansas. We are seeking an Assistant Early Childhood Education Teacher for The K.I.D.S. Place in McLouth, Kansas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist lead teachers in preparing activities and creating lesson plans.
  • Facilitate a positive and nurturing learning environment for children aged 2 weeks to 12 years.
  • Help provide structure and foster creativity and independence among children.
  • Ensure daily care of children following KDHE guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure consistency and contribute to lesson planning.
  • Attend curriculum training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years old; a high school degree is not required.
  • Experience working with children preferred, especially in licensed childcare settings.
Skills
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Methodical, creative, patient, flexible, and loving towards children.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stoop, and bend to interact with children.
