Job summary

Leidos in Framingham, MA is seeking an Associate Substation Protection and Controls Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will work under a licensed professional engineer to develop skills in substation engineering and increase independence over time.

You will assist project teams with protection and control design, perform basic engineering calculations, prepare engineered drawings and technical reports, and collaborate across disciplines to improve project execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2+ years with a B.S. degree or 0–1+ years with an M.S. degree in utility substation engineering.
• Basic understanding of the utility grid and electric power principles.
• Strong attention to detail and quality, with good documentation.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with Protection and Control design on utility substation projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design.
• Follow the established Quality Control Plan and prepare project deliverables.
• Collaborate with other substation disciplines and develop process improvements.
• Maintain organized records and proactively communicate with the team.
