Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after entry. This role involves software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment across aviation programs.
Two+ years in software or systems engineering and knowledge of avionics are required. BS in a technical ABET-accredited program is expected.
Qualifications
- At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- ABET-accredited BS in a technical discipline required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration
- Conduct analysis of software defects
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs)
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals
