Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role is located at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with work commencing no earlier than September 1, 2026.
An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with potential to obtain Top Secret later. BS in a technical ABET-accredited field is expected; at least two years of applicable
Qualifications
- Minimum two years in software or systems engineering.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- Experience with software requirements, vendor software specs, and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Analyze software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity SMEs.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the ECP process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe processes.
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs.
- Support evaluations of Contractor proposals.
