Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field is required.
• Current professional licensure in the state of practice required to provide counseling.
• CEAP certification preferred.
• 3 years experience in EAP related service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments with EAP clients, formulates counseling goals, and provides counseling or referrals.
• Provides short-term counseling when extensive treatment is not required.
• Provides follow-up to evaluate continuity and effectiveness of outside services.
• Acts as liaison between client, employer/HR, and outside referrals per company policy.
• Delivers a broad range of presentations to help employees cope with identified problems.
• Provides orientations to employees and management for internal and external clients.
• Offers consultation services to management/leadership.
• If full-time/part-time, serves as account manager for external contracts.
• Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency coverage.
• Recognizes and responds to emergencies following EAP protocols.
• Assists with marketing, data collection, record keeping, protocol development, and program development.
• Assists with general office duties as needed.
• Participates in EAP/Departmental/Hospital committees and other assignments.
