Job summary

ECU Health in Greenville, North Carolina, is seeking an EAP counselor to support employees and eligible family members through crisis intervention, brief counseling, and referrals. The role includes providing orientations, well-being workshops, and therapy via in-person or video formats.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Psychology/Social Work/MFT and current licensure (LMFT/LCMHC/LCSW/PhD). Some regional travel and on-call rotation are expected as part of this full-time, onsite position.

Qualifications

• Two to three years' short-term counseling or therapy experience in clinical mental health.
• Provisionally licensed clinicians may apply and must become fully licensed within 2 years.
• Regional travel to other entities as needed; rotating on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate behavioral health treatment needs for employees and family members.
• Provide crisis intervention and brief outcome-based counseling.
• Develop and deliver trainings on behavioral wellness and EAP services.
• Consult with supervisors on behavioral risk and performance concerns.
• Maintain confidential records and conduct incident response and debriefings as needed.

Education

Master's Degree in Psychology/Social Work/MFT

Licensure required: LMFT/LCMHC/LCSW/PhD
