Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an EAP Counselor to provide assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals for employees and their families. You will liaise with HR and external providers and deliver focused employee support sessions.

The role requires a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, current state licensure, and likely 3 years of EAP experience; CEAP is preferred. This position is based in Advocate Health's network in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field.
• Current state licensure to practice counseling.
• 3 years of EAP experience preferred.
• CEAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments with EAP clients, formulates counseling goals and provides counseling or referral as needed.
• Provides short-term counseling for clients not requiring extensive external treatment.
• Follows up with clients to evaluate the effectiveness of referred services.
• Acts as liaison between client, employer/HR and outside referrals for referrals or drug-positives as per policy.
• Delivers presentations to help employees cope with issues identified by EAP or management.
