Job summary

FCCI in Sarasota, FL is seeking an E&S Claim Adjuster to investigate and adjust assigned Excess and Surplus lines claims requiring expertise in coverage, analysis, jurisdictional and litigation matters. You will perform initial investigations, evaluate coverage, negotiate settlements, set reserves within authority, and direct defense counsel on litigated files.

This hybrid role may involve up to 20% travel for mediations and trials, with work available at regional offices or remote within FCCI

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned E&S lines claims, including initial investigation, coverage evaluation, settlement negotiation, and reserve setting within authority limits and company best practices.
• Develop litigation/file disposition strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
• Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on claim status to claims management, policyholders, and independent agents.
• Recognize exposures, apply reserving philosophy, and elevate to management when necessary.
• Conduct field work such as meetings, inspections, damage assessments, and evidence documentation.
• Attend mediations and manage claims effectively to closure, coordinating with independent adjusters and vendors.
