Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Underwriting Supervisor for our Surplus Lines division. You will lead an underwriting team, manage a book of business, and develop agency and key account relationships in a hybrid work model (two days remote, three days in-office).

The role requires a strong background in E&S underwriting with casualty focus, leadership experience, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of E&S underwriting with focus on casualty lines.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Advanced knowledge of current market conditions, trends, competition, and new products/coverages.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze, define and solve problems with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting team in accordance with corporate and regional goals for production, profitability, retention and policyholder service.
• Develop agency and key account relationships and oversee underwriting function.
• Analyze and evaluate information and exposures on risks of increasing complexity with authority.
