Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group in Sarasota, FL seeks a Senior Work Comp Claim Adjuster to conduct quality, timely investigations of workers' compensation claims and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will handle claims primarily for Florida, Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic jurisdictions; the role may involve field investigations and collaboration with UW and Risk Control to achieve quality resolutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; relevant, progressively responsible work experience may substitute for education
• Minimum of four years commercial WC claim adjusting experience
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record
• Current active adjuster license in assigned jurisdiction
• Strong working knowledge of insurance claim procedures, rules, systems, and regulations
• Strong working knowledge of claim file management techniques and processes
• Strong understanding of the judicial and legal systems; knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; good judgment and decision-making
• Ability to interpret and explain insurance policy coverage and state regulations
• AIC, SCLA designation or related coursework or experience

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, cost-efficient, and timely investigation of liability claims and exceptional customer service
• Manage an inventory of claims within departmental guidelines and budgetary constraints
• Evaluate coverage/compensability and may perform field investigations as needed
• Collaborate with UW and Risk Control to meet the needs of agency partners and policyholders
• Contribute to file resolution with emphasis on quality claim handling
