Job summary

King's Insurance Staffing client, a leading A-rated carrier, seeks a Senior E&S Casualty Claims Examiner to manage mid-to-complex CGL, Umbrella and Excess claims from a Southeast-based team. The role supports remote or hybrid work and favors candidates residing in FL, GA, NC, SC, or VA.

You will independently investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex claims and coordinate with defense counsel on litigated matters.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of E&S casualty claims handling experience.
• Strong experience with CGL, umbrella and excess liability claims.
• Experience managing litigated and high-exposure casualty claims.
• Excellent analytical, investigation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with insureds, attorneys and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage mid-to-complex E&S casualty claims from initial assignment through resolution.
• Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, damages and exposure to develop resolution strategies.
• Analyze policy language, endorsements and exclusions to identify coverage issues.
• Establish and maintain reserves based on claim exposure and developments.
• Manage litigated claims with defense counsel, including strategy, budgets and mediations.
• Negotiate and resolve claims within settlement authority with timely handling.
