Job summary

FCCI Insurance Group seeks an E&S Claim Adjuster to investigate and adjust assigned Excess & Surplus lines claims with expertise in coverage, analysis, jurisdictional and diversity issues, and litigation management.

The role involves field work, reporting to claims management and policyholders, and may require approximately 20% travel for mediations and trials. Hybrid work arrangement at multiple regional locations or remote within FCCI territory.)

Qualifications

• Investigate assigned E&S lines claims, including initial investigation, coverage evaluation and reserve setting.
• Develop litigation/file disposition strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
• Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on claim status to management, policyholders, and agents.
• Travel for mediations, trials and field work as required (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned E&S lines claims, including initial investigation and coverage evaluation.
• Develop litigation strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
• Provide timely status reports to claims management and stakeholders.
• Recognize exposures, apply reserving philosophy and escalate when needed.
• Attend mediations and coordinate with independent adjusters and vendors.
