Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's OSB plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. The role requires maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and related controls, with duties covering motors, pneumatics, conveyors, and production equipment.

The position features a 12-hour rotating shift (days 6:00am–6:00pm and nights 6:00pm–6:00am) with overtime, holidays, and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year technical degree or certificate or three+ years industrial experience in electrical/instrumentation.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating electrical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, sensors, and controls in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls across the plant.
• Troubleshoot and install equipment at the component level, ensuring compliance with plant codes and procedures.
• Work on motors, pneumatic components, conveyors, and production machines.
• Support project planning and new equipment installation.
