Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC at the Alabama River Cellulose site in Perdue Hill, AL seeks an E&I Technician to support electrical and instrumentation maintenance, coordinating with Supervisors, Maintenance Planners, and Operations.

The role requires on-call rotation for facility emergencies and off-shift requirements, and adherence to safety guidelines. Start pay is $38.35+ per hour based on experience, with a 6:00am–2:30pm schedule, Mon-Fri; shifts may include holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Six (6)+ years electrical experience in industrial manufacturing or the military.
Proficient in troubleshooting electrical controls, instrumentation, AC/DC motors, power distribution equipment, and variable drives.
Familiar with technical drawings and schematics for installation and/or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance tasks relative to the maintenance department’s workload.
Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders.
Monitor equipment and machinery for electrical maintenance deficiencies.
Maintain the cleanliness of the work environment.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, instrumentation, and controls.
Work to optimize the mill instrumentation and control systems.
Perform work in elevated and/or confined spaces.
