Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Cellulose LLC in Brunswick, Georgia is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to perform electrical maintenance and support startup/shutdown projects. The role supports high-performance operations while maintaining a safe environment and active participation in Mill Emergency Response Team drills. The position offers a 7:00 a.m.

– 3:30 p.m. schedule with overtime and potential transition to a rotating 12-hour shift, requiring readiness for on-site

Qualifications

• Two or more years as a Journeyman Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in an industrial setting.
• Experience reading electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 arc flash safety and OSHA regulations.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing equipment from 24VDC to 480VDC.
• Experience with DC/AC motors, PLCs, VFDs, and servo systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Execute emergency maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain turbine generators and power distribution systems.
• Install equipment and troubleshoot PLCs and process controls.
• Support shutdown/startup activities on projects.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Perform physical tasks while following safety requirements.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime, holidays and weekends.
