Job summary

Ashland Inc. in Hopewell, VA is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team on site.

You will plan, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will mentor technicians, enforce safety and compliance, manage CMMS records, and collaborate with production, engineering, reliability, and QA teams to align maintenance with

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, or industrial environments.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, piping systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and mentor a team of E&I craftsman to advance overall team capabilities.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for the mechanical group.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures to minimize production interruptions.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities in CMMS.
Facilitate vacation calendars, overtime management, tool allowances, and staffing items for direct reports.
Collaborate with scheduling, production, engineering, reliability, and HSES teams to align maintenance priorities with operational goals.
