Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in Ashland, VA. Direct Hire with 12-hour shifts. Compensation ranges from $32 to $45 per hour. The role requires hands-on E&I expertise, troubleshooting, and mentoring of junior technicians.

Responsibilities include safety-focused asset performance, RCA support, CMMS documentation, and participation in reliability-focused design changes to improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of electrical and instrument control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Rockwell, ABB and Valmet equipment.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office software.
• Familiarity with smart instrumentation (Fisher, Rosemount).
• Able to mentor junior technicians or apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mature levels of E&I technical capabilities focused on safety and asset performance.
• Assist in RCA and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Use CMMS to document findings and initiate corrective actions.
• Support development of predictive and preventive programs.
• Troubleshoot electrical & instrumentation components including PLCs and DCS for process control.
