Job summary

Metro Supply Chain USA is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Columbus, OH to manage shift operations, safety, performance, customer relations, and people development. The role requires strong leadership, experience in distribution, and proficiency with WMS/MS Office.

Join a team focused on efficient, data-driven logistics and customer service leadership. You will oversee labor planning, daily KPIs, and coaching to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment while maintaining safety and budget

Qualifications

• Five years distribution experience (3PL experience a plus).
• At least two years supervisory experience, preferably in a 3PL role.
• Computer literacy in MS software and WMS proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Schedule labor for the shift to meet production goals within budget.
• Complete shift briefings to communicate relevant information.
• Assign and follow up with operators and staff on task durations.
• Ensure orders are picked based on priority to reduce delays for drivers and rush loads.
• Hold staff accountable for proper picking/packing and quality.
• Monitor, analyze and report KPI/KAIs for the shift.
• Approve labour hours daily in line with policies and ensure accurate payroll.
• Provide daily coaching and conduct performance appraisals.
• Maintain strong customer relations and service requirements.
• Keep a clean, safe work environment and enforce OHSA duties.
• Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency; drive KPIs improvement.
• Take on related responsibilities as needed.
