Job summary

HappyGlobal Service in Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned leader to build and scale our category business on a growth trajectory. The Head of Category Management will shape the go-to-market strategy, prioritize initiatives, and recruit and mentor a team of category managers while coordinating with cross-functional partners to allocate resources effectively.

You will drive partnerships with brands, distributors, and merchants and represent the business at industry events to accelerate category

Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce business.
• Experience as a people manager leading a sizable team.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Sales and business development with B2B and B2C funnel knowledge.
• Experience recruiting and developing a strong team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a category team to acquire brand principals, distributors, and merchants to support category growth at scale
• Craft overall strategy to deliver growth for the business - define goals, identify opportunities and design approach
• Discover innovative collaborative models that fit into merchants' short-term and long-term development plans, and invest platform resources effectively and efficiently
• Solve key challenges in business growth by strong collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Employ a consultative approach by offering strategic content, creator/affiliate/agency partner, merchandising, and logistical solutions to all clients
• Update active clients on product developments and new promotional opportunities
• Represent at industry events and brand summits and foster long-term partnerships with brands that help scale the category
