Job summary

Reed Smith LLP is seeking a detail-oriented E-Billing Specialist to manage client electronic invoicing and account maintenance in Houston. You will handle monthly e-bill submissions, verify accuracy, and produce reports while coordinating with attorneys and assistants.

You will work with multiple e-billing platforms and 3E for client guidance, ensuring compliance and timely matter setup. A strong accounting background and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Prior experience with e-billing or other accounting function preferred.
• Experience with Elite/3E accounting software and e-billing systems (BillBlast, Tymetrix360, Passport, CounselLink) is preferred.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• E-Bill invoices monthly for assigned clients within BillBlast or designated e-billing site, ensuring successful submission and resolution of rejections.
• Proof electronic invoices for accuracy.
• Generate monthly e-billing reports.
• Communicate with assigned attorneys and Executive Assistants regarding invoice status and deductions.
• Update client and matter information in the 3E system to comply with client e-billing guidelines.
• Assist attorneys and Executive Assistants with inquiries and new e-billing setups.
• Obtain matter IDs and submit timekeeper approvals timely.
• Learn and use e-billing systems (Tymetrix360, Passport, CounselLink, etc.).
• Collaborate with AP/Chrome River for expense backup and with Collections on status of invoices.
• Support special projects and manage accruals/budgets when required.
