Job summary

V2X in Patuxent River, MD is seeking an avionics technician to install, inspect, test, and repair complex avionics in the E-2C/D programs, including radar, comms, navigation, and missile control systems. You will troubleshoot hands-on and document actions in aircraft records.

The role requires a DoD security clearance, a valid US driver’s license, a high school diploma and specialized aircraft repair training. It is a CBA position on NTWL with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of electronic principles and circuit analysis.
• Ability to trace signal flow and interpret waveforms and voltages.
• Working knowledge of aircraft communications/navigation and instrument systems.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and charts of systems.
• Strong soldering and wiring skills, including PC boards and crimping.
• Familiarity with test equipment and maintenance procedures.
• DOT/DoD paperwork familiarity; standard maintenance forms.
• Valid US state driver's license; ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• English reading/writing/speaking fluency; government flight line license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational and bench checks; troubleshoot and isolate malfunctions in avionics.
• Use complex test equipment to verify system performance and diagnostics.
• Repair or replace components per blueprints and manuals; calibrate as needed.
• Maintain safety, tool control, FOD awareness, and housekeeping at all times.
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft records and CAMS system.
