Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking an avionics technician to perform operational checks, troubleshoot, and repair complex aircraft avionics on F/A-18 systems at the Patuxent River area.

You will work with advanced test equipment and follow blueprints, schematics, and NAVSPEC guidelines. The role requires a high school diploma, specialized avionics courses, a minimum of four years’ experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft avionics for the F/A-18
• Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in repair of aircraft avionics, com/nav, or instrument systems of the F/A-18 aircraft
• Must be able to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Performs operational checks and troubleshoots in complex aircraft avionics equipment
• Uses advanced test equipment to perform checks
• Repairs or replaces components based on test results
• Calibrates and replaces system components as needed
• Follows blueprints, schematics, and handbooks
• Maintains CAMS documentation and records
• Complies with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2
• Works with NAMP and NALCOMIS applications
• Capable of daily maintenance tasks as part of operations
• Performs other duties as assigned
